What is a Copyright Notice and Why?

All websites should have a stated copyright notice to let a visitor or reviewer know what elements of that site's content that they can and cannot legally use, keep, copy, quote, edit and republish without written consent from the copyright holder. Original content is a web publisher's greatest asset and that original content needs to be protected from theft and plagiarism - the best way to do that is to provide a comprehensive Copyright Notice with a clear indication of what is permitted and what is not in terms of usage.

All the original content of our websites (i.e. here at Harbinger451.co.uk, at Harbinger451's an Alternative Blog, at Harbinger451's Merchandise Mart, and at other various corners of the internet including, but not limited to, our pages on Twitter and Facebook) is copyrighted to Harbinger451 and the copyright of all other content is acknowledged as applicable.

The copyright in our websites and the material on those websites (including without limitation the text, computer code, artwork, photographs, images, music, audio material, video material and audio-visual material on this website) is owned by us and our licensers - except where copyright ownership is clearly stated as otherwise.

We created this copyright notice using an SEQ Legal precedent from Website Law. The legal documents supplied by SEQ Legal include non disclosure agreement precedents.

(3)  Copyright licence:
We grant to you a worldwide non-exclusive royalty-free revocable licence to:
(a)  view our websites and the material on those websites on a computer or mobile device via a web browser;
(b)  copy and store our websites and the material on those websites in your web browser cache memory;
(c)  print pages from our websites for your own personal and non-commercial use;

You could also be ordered to pay legal costs.
